Twelve Canoes is a website which paints a compelling portrait of the art, culture, history and place of the Yolngu people whose homeland is the town of Ramingining and the Arafura Swamp of north-central Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory.
Sam the Frog Online Book
Sam the Frog (Bajuk) was written by Irene Ryder, a Gunggari Elder, who developed the text to help teach the Gunggari language to children in the Mitchell area of Queensland.
The book was illustrated by the students of St. Patrick’s School Mitchell, where Irene has been visiting and teaching since 1985. The front cover picture was the work of Irene’s great nephew, Damien Finlay. http://enc.slq.qld.gov.au/vbook/slq/sam_the_frog/index.htm
